Violight Toothbrush

Posted on January 22, 2010.
Violight ToothbrushWhat is the best disinfectant for a toothbrush: Ultraviolet (VIOlight IE) or steam (ie Germ Terminator)?

Neither disinfect properly unless they use chemicals are not mentioned. Just buy the rubbing alcohol to dip it in. Then, let air dry. As the alcohol evaporates, it will kill the bacteria.

If you want the easiest way, put it in the cutlery basket of
dishwasher. But the bacteria on your toothbrush
die at room temperature. anyway. And if you are very germophobic,
just replace your toothbrush every week or 10 days. You are
just put your own background bacteria in your mouth, unless
you share your toothbrush, so what's the problem? And
Always replace your toothbrush after having a cold or flu.

Disinfectants are coming on strong these days. There are not many research articles that support toothbrush disinfection.

FYI, most dentists do not encourage disinfection. Although it seems a good idea, it is confirmed that they have advantages.

AND .... It could possibly lead to unwanted growth of other bacteria.

what are those and why not simply ask your dentist next time you go
