I'll share with you a report of Aviva Glaser

"It is a disinfectant by showing hundreds of Commons
consumer products raises serious cause
concern. The chemical, triclosan, is a synthesis,
broad-spectrum antimicrobial that in recent years has
exploded on the consumer market in a wide variety of
antibacterial soaps, deodorants, toothpastes, cosmetics, textiles, plastics and other products. Studies have increasingly linked triclosan to a range of health and environmental effects, irritation of the skin, allergic sensitivity, bacterial and compounded antibiotic resistant, dioxin contamination and destruction of fragile aquatic ecosystems . Concerns about triclosan have even led some manufacturers, such as Tom's of Maine, speci.c claim that their products do not contain triclosan toothpaste. According to the American Medical Association, "Despite their recent proliferation of consumer products, the use of antimicrobials such as triclosan in consumer products has not been studied thoroughly. Hope it helps

straight, believe me, ok ....... hehehehe .... hmmm????

Sorry, just felt I had to say.

I did not know this particular case. I can say that in the United States, under Bush, many regulatory agencies have tight budgets (the money should go to war). safety commission consumer protection has many toys to go on the shelf that are dangerous and recalled later. they are only 1 toy inspector. they need more money and staff. the chief Nancy Nord, is like Bush and do not really want a larger budget! imagine. FDA is full of problems too.

WOW I had no idea. I am surprised and a little worried. I have some health problems that could make it an issue that I should look further.

Would be listed as a triclosan indredient products mentioned, or would it be listed under another "trade" name?

Zucchini ~ thank you very useful info! :-)

As a person with multiple chemical sensitivities, I did my homework and research and discovered that while only a small percentage of people harmed by toxic ingredients in a product of these companies are still allowed to use . Sad, is not it?
