Toothache After Filling

I had a bad cavity in the back of my mouth. They were lucky not to hit the nerve during drilling, so they gave me a refill. Now my left side is bad, my teeth, my gums, even my bottom teeth, when the filling was on top. It hurts in my jaw, clear my ear. I'm alternating ibuprofen and vicodin every two hours, by doctor's prescription. But the pain is so bad. Is it going to get better? Has anyone ever experienced this much pain after receiving a filling of a cavity was very deep? Please help me, I hurt so bad ... How long will it be like that? I can not even drink water, it hurts too much when it touches my teeth ...

Oh man I feel for you'!!.. I know exactly what looks like, and it bites! ... You can try ice to an ice pack, wrap in a washcloth or something if it is not directly on your skin (the pack) and keep it on the spot where your jaw is connected. on some, off a few, do not leave there ... it should help, and if it does not get better within a day or two, return to the dentist! nothing worse than a toothache or ear!

obtain ouzo and mouthwash!
if it does not contribute to it at least make you drunk and forget the pain
