Tooth Pain Infection

I lost half my teeth recently and I am now pain at night and sensitivity to cold liquids. It seems to hurt on the left side of my jaw, even if only one tooth was affected. I rinse with hydrogen peroxide and am not sure what I should do for now until my appointment w / the dentist.
Any suggestions or ideas on what causes so much pain?

You probably have a raw, edgy or irritated. If you have seen this dentist before any call to his office. Well a lot of time with a bad tooth pain is deflected by this mean i can tell u that a tooth hurts, but it will actually be one that is broken causing all this pain to surround any mouth. it's crazy! Try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water, now I warn you, it can hurt, but that will clean your teeth so u do not get an infection. So bite on a washcloth with hot water might help. luck. Believe it or not, this exact same thing happened to me. I have med coverage, but not dental, so I did the best I could to keep clean. I also used peroxide twice a day, brushed this area well and was sure of silk. Fortunately for me, I could get to months later, a dentist and the tooth was fine, he just completed.
