Sores In Mouth And Throat

Recently, my sister was diagnosed with strep throat. She had a fever, headache, sore throat, vomiting - all. The doctor gave him amoxicillin. She developed lesions on the roof of her mouth and she is in great pain. Can you get sores in the mouth of strep throat, or is it caused by the medication or something completely different?

Yes ... you can. When I was 24, I had strep throat that has become Rhuematic fever, if I remember correctly. It was Christmas 1995 and I had a fever and horrible little white sores in my mouth. Doc gave me an antibiotic .... I could not eat or drink for most of the time during this period - in part because of wounds .....
