Single Tooth Replacement

Single Tooth ReplacementThe best option for whitening a tooth?

I have a front tooth which is significantly discolored. It's actually cracked the root, but not sufficiently damaged to be a replacement candidate. What are my options for whitening teeth that one?

All my dentist suggested is veneer, which seems a bit extreme. Then one of the home bleaching products can be used for a single tooth? I am afraid that if I use something on all teeth, all will be a little whiter, but the color difference between the broken tooth and the other will always be there.

Thank you.

You can have a root canal and tooth whitening from within (intra coronal bleaching after root canal treatment)
I suggested RCT (root canal), because the tooth was fractured and that the standard treatment, it should RCT'd because the pulp of your tooth is damaged, so it faded.
You do not need a veneer, which is expensive and not practical. Youre going to have to be replaced after 5 years.

I had the same prob. When I asked my dentist, she gave me a semi-clad. I am a student so I had free, but it's like a filler layer over your teeth, your color to match the rest of your teeth.

I would not use a whitening kit at home, if your tooth is already damaged Spesh!

As Jim Carry said: "You know, gingivitis is the main cause of tooth decay."
