When there is a need for speed and the desire to see increased performance, many car enthusiasts to explore the addition of alternative systems of nitrous oxide. These unique devices can increase the power like nobody's business and they have done for decades. There are some precautions that go with their use, but for lovers of fast cars, they are dreams are made of commands.

Nitrous oxide systems have long been used in racing cars and other high performance vehicles to give them a boost of acceleration when it is needed most. Although technically illegal in most jurisdictions for use on roads, these kits are not at all uncommon in racing. Use of this unusual variation goes back years and actually originated not on the roads, but in the sky.

Nitrous oxide systems were, in fact, first installed on aircraft of the Second War of the time to give them a boost of speed as they closed in on enemy targets. This technology has also been used to help them function properly aircraft at high altitudes where oxygen in the atmosphere is rare. To enjoy the extra power offered by nitrous oxide, two different injection kits have been developed. One is called a dry injection system and the other is wet.

dry injection kits spray nitrous oxide directly in the provision of a multiple vehicle where the gas mixes with air and other fuels to the fuel injectors themselves. This type of system does produce a burst of increased less power than wet systems, but are still popular.

injection systems provide wet nitrous oxide planes with fuel included in them. This is sprayed directly into the engine, usually in the throttle body. wet systems offer more power overall, but they can cause failures due to puddles of fuel that can accumulate in the intake manifold.

When there is a need and a little faster performance, nitrous oxide kits can provide. These kits can be installed in most vehicles, but their use is not always legal on standard roads. Nevertheless, the tradition to get a little benefit that can provide nitrogen date back decades and remains strong in the sports world where power is everything.
