Canker sores?! help!? My brother and I fell into the typical categories of canker sores ... victims ... I guess. You know ... just one year, from about 10 years. Once we have both had their share, but after a month have died down. Suddenly ... im 15, do everything exactly the same, ulcers left and right. one every day! I have three now. I have something kind of medicine, Kanka, it works well for her numb for about 10 minutes. but I have to apply it constantly to have effect. they sometimes bleed, and they are verrryyy painful. I can hardly eat anything because its so bad. The water is bad, bad juice, bread hurts, everything hurts. do not move my mouth and it hurts. Im tired of it, any suggestions?
Your best bet is to get a prescription from a dentist or Aphthasol or Kenalog in Orabase. These drugs tend to reduce the inflammation and ulceration, which develop canker sores occur. For maximum benefit, you really need to apply ointment as soon as you think, the wounds are to come. If you expect a full blown ulceration, healing will be delayed. You will find the healing time can be less than one week rather than 10-14 days. (Orabase by itself can relieve pain and do not encourage a speedy recovery.)
The ulcers occur because of many reasons (allergies, stress, diet, heredity). You can see if your canker sores are triggered by certain foods like peanuts, chocolate or citrus fruits. Canker sores may be the result of an allergic reaction in the mouth.
Some people also said that consumption of yogurt (Lactobacillus acidophilus containing active cultures) prevents new outbreaks and helps sores heal faster. Some people also say that the opening of a capsule of vitamin E and applying the law of liquid on the wound to relieve pain.
From a nutritional standpoint, make sure you are not deficient in folic acid, iron and vitamin B12. You may want to take a multivitamin pill to try to reduce future outbreaks.
Try more cons supplement, lysine. You can find it in grocery stores and pharmacies. After one or two days, the wound must leave. The pain should disappear after taking the first one or two. It works great for me. My doctor told me about it.
