Home Remedies For Gum Disease

Home Remedies For Gum DiseaseWho can tell me a good home remedy for gum disease?

If you have very early stages of gum disease such as gingivitis ... brushing, flossing and mouthwash (Listerine) can help.

However, if you have deep periodontal pockets (> 4 mm) that rinses at home or brushing will not work because it can not penetrate deep into the pocket to remove bacteria deep in the pocket. Brushing and flossing your teeth cleaned about 1.5 mm below the gum if done well. Mouthwash does not penetrate into the deep pockets of more than 2 mm.

Therefore, to eliminate bacteria in deep pockets, you need a thorough cleaning of your dentist.

Brush your teeth with toothpaste 2-3 times a day. Use Listerine mouthwash or similar antiseptic mouthwash twice a day. Floss at least once a day. And you see a dentist 2-4 times a year for a professional cleaning to remove dental plaque (see source below) can cause irritation of the gums around the teeth which could lead to gingivitis, periodontal disease and tooth loss.
