I just read this blog on a site of adult film star Belladonna. She said she has herpes and about 99% of porn also. Is this true?

The only way to know if this is true would be to conduct a scientific study .... It would more likely be based on confidential patient information by organizations like the Foundation Adult Industry Medical Health Care - which requires the consent of the patient.

Or the adult industry would need to participate in such a study.

And it is very unlikely to happen.

The good news is that herpes is not as common as HPV - I believe that HPV is much more likely to affect 99% of performers in the adult industry. HPV is on the rise - just Google, and check the news sources. HPV is a sneaky bastard.

Herpes, on the other hand, is also on the rise - but I doubt that 99% of porn stars there.

I could be wrong, however. Lately, there have been rumors (keyword: rumors) circulating the adult industry makes more noise if a performer contracts, a strain or two of HPV or herpes during their career ... Before their career ... Well, that same type of disorder. (Again, the word is the rumor!)

None of these STDs are horrible life-threatening, if followed correctly. Some forms of HPV can cause cervical, vaginal, penis and / or anal cancer, however.

I hope not. They did not get tested thoroughly, but who knows what happens between this time. They could contract after being tested. So my answer is maybe.

prob since theres really no real test for herpes and as 1 / 5 of North Americans have it and 90 percent did not know they ...

im kind of on both sides of this issue. Yes it could be true, because while they have sex with soooo many people, and can past along very easily. However, I think that cannot be the case because they are pros and get tested

not what I heard and read. they get tested regularly enough for VD. Many people have herpes ... has a cold sore before? chickenpox? but this is not the same as genital herpes.

No, this is not true even though most of them have at least one STD
