Gum Bleaching

I developed a black spot on my gums ... not very big, but noticeable. Its irritating because I keep getting "there is something black on the tooth" type deal and I must say that my gums. Very embarrassing for me. It does not hurt and yet it has not always been there, only the last year and a half. I looked online for the discoloration of the gums, but I found that dentists were able to make such a procedure was in California and New York and I live in the Midwest. Suggestions???

Talk to your dentist, he may have more suggestions that the Internet alone.
