Floss Picks

I see all these people on Yahoo called silk peaks are a waste of money and they dont work, but I do not see the difference between the two. It is just a string, the other is a string on a stick thats more convenient. And the silk takes arent expensive, ive been using them for a month and its like 3 dollars for 40 of them. So I just want to know what is the difference and if I have to floss regularly.

I think the photo does not wrap silk around the tooth like you're supposed to. The ideal would be to form a full "C" around the tooth and up and down to thoroughly clean the tooth. The wire peak just do not "give" to get around the tooth adequately.

but for people who do not floss at all, but if they use the picks ... then at least something is better than nothing

have chosen silk strings that are in a defined position, so they go in one direction in your mouth, because they are not able to curve the edges of your teeth.

With ordinary silk, you can bend the string, so you can clean not only the center of your shortcomings, but around them. I floss regularly for this reason: you get the cleanest of them.

The only advice I can give you is that two dentists have told me. Do not use waxed dental floss, it is not as effective as dental floss unwaxed. Good Nuts waxed floss I prefer silk. Bob
