Dental Practice Financing

Dental Practice FinancingAll advice and ideas on how to be profitable in the management of my new dental practice and implementation of new patients?

I own a start-up dental office, which opened its doors in a wooded waterfront community in South East England. I am in my first year at the end of this month and I am managing the business in the negative concerns about the cost of being effective without compromising on costs and try to increase my number of new patients. I have competition from surgery a half-mile on the road. In two months I have not run the risk of falling short of meeting of banking and payments have already raided my personal finances, trying to keep this business running. I have a practice manager and some other staff motivated, but to find my partner, limited in his dental experience, and a nurse in arrears in their motivation to contribute to help the flower business. My finances are tight I can not invest in advertising on radio or on billboards around the community. So far, there is word of mouth has brought in new patients, but I must do more. Any advice / ideas?

Consider going out into the community and conducting free courses on the importance of good dental hygiene.

Talk to schools, hospitals, community centers, etc.

Include a bag of freebie promotional items with your information on them like a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss - the standard fare you get when visiting the dentist.

The first step is to understand the difference between investments and expenses. Investments are costs that put patients in practice and spending the running costs of the practice. Divide each of your costs in these two categories and evaluate them. Report Abuse

Start making small changes that cut costs. Print both sides in black ink on white paper costs aprox 2Cents instead of colored paper cost aprox Fancy 1.50per page. Do you really think the patient comes to you because you have a tooth colored paper shaped? Flag

Patients hate to fill all the papers that work, no matter the color of the paper. Start watching these little unnecessary expenses, they add up quickly.
Take care of little things and big things will take care of themselves Flag

recommend that you donate to one of your existing customers, which refers to someone. I have a corporate gift and it works very well. Furthermore you have a small overhead for sending newsletters to existing customers and they know how your service is. email me if you want to gift ideas.
