I just got my braces and I have a question. Please help? Im panicking because the gum of one of my teeth had a long white string. This was not the plate because I took it out and he kept his form until I broke it. It was like he was in the skin or something ... Then later, there was a string longer white behind another tooth. Are the roots coming out or what????
And my back teeth are bad every time I try to shut my mouth so my teeth in contact with eachother. Is that bad? Most of the day I keep my mouth slightly open so that my teeth are tight, but do not touch. Eating nothing hurts, and even drinking hurts my teeth.
And last thing, I'm having a hard time brushing my teeth. It hurts so much when I try to brush them and I feel as if I'm not cleaning them properly. Is the pain caused by brushing go? I use a standard toothbrush and toothpaste Colgate Colgate Sensitive.
I know some of my concerns is likely to be its really stupid, but I have no idea of how braces work, what to expect etc. I have not researched. Your opinion will help me a lot and I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Well, this is not your roots. I guarantee you that, thanks to the efforts it took my dentist to pull the roots of my wisdom teeth, root does not "fall" on!
You may be right that it is the skin. The brackets on your braces can be rubbed the skin of the cheek or tongue. The skin will become more difficult after a while and it will not be disturbed much.
The other thing that crossed my mind, is that the braces may have broken a few hairs of your toothbrush. If you have broken the strike, which is probably not.
Take medication for pain. Tylenol, Advil ... They should help a lot. Do not wait until they start to fight. Take them regularly for several days at least. Your teeth will soon begin to feel better, then they will only hurt for a few days after each adjustment thereafter.
If you can afford it, you can buy a rechargeable sonic toothbrush. Instead of brushing the teeth so vigorously evil, it vibrates gently clean them with sound waves. It made my mouth feel cleaner than I had ever felt before.
I had braces when I was a few years younger, I am sorry to say that pain is normal. your teeth will be sore when the braces are first put on and when they settle.
As for the white thing, I do not know what to say other than ask the orthodontist about it when you go to the next.
braces will hurt and I would get a toothbrush children (small head) Brush gently and thoroughly. Panadol or Nurofen take for pain, your jaw is adapted for reinforcements while his adaptation of your teeth. It will take some time to adjust, be patient. Remember, you have a very nice set of teeth once your time is up.

Do not worry this is normal. the pain will disappear in time. do not worry about it.
I do not know what to tell you about the chain on your gum lines. But you just get your braces on it is quite normal for every little thing to hurt. Heck if I just knock on the outside of my mouth hurt. And it may seem a bit silly but when I got my braces on, I should keep my mouth half open, but it hurts to put them down, causing the slime, which was totally embarrassing, but no is not like I use to have metal in my mouth! Yes eat food to cause pain, but I'll go away after a few weeks, but believe me, you'll use this pain, because once yo.
