Canker Sore Treatment

Every month I receive a series of very bad mouth ulcers who eat, drink, talk, smile and unbearably painful for several weeks. I apply Orajel to numb my mouth at least once every two hours if I can just spend the day.

I was wondering if anyone has found a method of treatment more effective. I read about Benadryl Allergy and milk of Magnesia as possible means to reduce the pain - do they really work? Other suggestions, particularly those that may help the sores go away faster?

I gave this treatment for mouth ulcers several times here on answers. You have to deal systematically and also change your diet until you get under control. Topical treatments only remove the temporary discomfort, but do nothing to cure the problem.

For a break to buy a supplement called lysine. It is a medium of amino acids. It is available in different strengths. The one I use is 700 mg per capsule. If you have a break out of these nasty little mouth sores, you can take as many as 6-8 capsules per day without side effects. It is perfectly safe and natural. spread over the day ... 2 breakfast, 2 for lunch, etc. You will find that in a day or two, wounds will be significantly improved and healing. Then, you can reduce the dose to one or two a day. This is called prevention. And I promise you once they are gone this will keep things in return.
Lysine is available where most supplements are sold. (Supermarket, Wal-Mart, Target or local CVS) It is inexpensive and very effective. Try to find a brand of good quality.
If you are in burst stop eating things that aggravate the situation. Tomatoes, strawberries, many citrus fruits, etc. Once you are healed and the use of lysine as a prevention program on a daily basis, you can return to eating foods rich in these acids.
Drinking black tea because it contains tannins that are soothing to the wounds while you're broke.

canker cover, I have the same problem and I seriously tried everything anyone has said that the works, alum, Listerine, hydrogen peroxide, milk of magnesia and Allergy Benadryl and I even tried to wax ... yes earwax some sites says it works, but it didn't for me and then I found these canker blankets and they work wonders as $ 10 per box, but they are sooooo worth it not disappear in less than one day

Are you sure they are just a canker sore? My Korean friend used to go out loads of them, and she said it was odd she had a condition. He had a name. Eating and speaking have been unbearable for her.
