Someone knows how Numb / decrease pain / get rid of a canker sore? Ive tried ambasol, salt water, Kanka, patches ulcers, hydrogen peroxide, etc.
Canker sores are so boring! I just had one and I found many ways to reduce pain.
1) To heal faster and less painful, you must keep it clean
try applying a paste of baking soda before and after you eat. It may sting a bit at first, but then once you rinse the pain is much less.
2) Try to find something to your local pharmacy. I used Orajel and it worked very well. First, it cleans the sores and then he falls asleep with a protective "shield" so that it does not hurt when you eat or drink.
I hope this was helpful. Feel better and try to eat something cold. which also helps.
Try doing a search online. There are many other remedies out there.
there are more cons of medicine called glyoxide. works really well ... I also heard a salt water rinse will help it go faster .. In fact, I have one now .. and they freakin suck .!~!~:)
Try SuperStrength Orajel, it works better than ambasol
Take sleeping pills. The pain will not disappear, but you will be asleep not to notice it.
I tend to have them from time to time. I tried everything everyone else has also suggested. A number of things you could add to the list to try .....
1. Take a Tums Chewable same type of antacid against it with your tongue. It soothes and takes some time. Seems to heal faster.
2. If you have a sympathetic doctor, ask a lidocaine gel. Orajel force requirement, it ROCKS!
3. Last but not least, is the last effort and always works ... Vicodin for pain and a Margarita frozen until drugs and alcohol combine their magic and knock you out cold!
