Biotene Mouth RinseBurning mouth as the roof of the mouth burn with hot coffee, too?

burning sensation on the tongue. Sentenced to 2 biopsy of the language before, misdiagnosed as neuroma but later 2nd opinion pappilitis inflamed. (Not cancerous) Docs can not find the cause of burning mouth. Begun with a small area on the roof of the mouth spreading to a wider area and also the language. Roof of the mouth feels dry, is now trying to rinse the mouth and Biotene gel. Docs precribed Amytriplin 25 mg, but only took half and the side effects, very sleepy. Anyone can help, this problem started last year. A lady very anxious midlle age.

This condition is actually a name, appropriately enough: the burning mouth syndrome or scalded mouth syndrome. Unfortunately, it can have several causes, so I'd say a thorough review.

Sometimes a white film is usually suggestive of thrush (yeast infection or candidiasis), or another condition called oral hairy leukoplakia, which usually appears in patches, but may also have a film on the oral mucosa. Burns of the mouth can be caused by two conditions.

Burning may also be caused by dry mouth (xerostomia), which itself has a number of causes such as medications, mouth breathing, aging, autoimmune diseases. It may also explain a white film, since the drying can thicken the saliva is enough to make it appear white in the mouth. Psychological factors, nutritional deficiencies, cancer, dental irritating, allergies, hormonal disorders, endocrine disorders (diabetes, thyroid problems), eating too many acidic foods, GERD, and nerve damage or dysfunction are all causes this problem.

In many cases, burning mouth syndrome is caused by a combination of the above causes, such as thrush and GERD. From there, I would ask a blood test to eliminate some of the above, with a CBC, allergy testing, and clean the oral culture and / or biopsy, and from there.

If no clear cause can be identified, sometimes, B vitamins, antidepressants and drugs thrush proved effective in the treatment of this disorder.

Good luck and I hope it helps! Oh, I have this condition too now for 3 years and I still have not found my symptoms of burning my mouth and tongue. I know this is not what you want to hear, but at least you're not alone. When you solve this problem drop me an e-mail address so I can know your results. Hang Tough to get your answers. I know it's hard, but I'll try.

Have you tried Orajel?
Have the doctors considered food allergies as the cause?

So what's the question? If you see the doc. I do not think theres that you can do. but if you've already seen the doc. and they have already planned something so short that everything is there for her. I'm sorry. but to please you, heres a smile! :] (I named Freddy) is not i that has been delayed.

I am a qualified dental nurse. The only thing I can think of is that you have an allergy to something you use, or something that was recently installed in your mouth. The most common causes of this type of reaction I've seen, are reactions to acrylic dentures or the adhesive used to fix them.
I'm sorry I could not be more helpful.
I would also advise you to see a dentist who specializes in homeopathy, they may be able to prescribe certain drugs unconvention to alleviate the discomfort.
