The herpes virus is not completely through the body, it crashes in lymph sacred for genital herpes and herpes labialis hangs in the trigeminal ganglion at the top of the spine.

Vatrex not cure herpes, it helps your body fight against the virus from replicating and thus preventing outbreaks and viral shedding. Unfortunately once you acquire it, the virus remains in your body for life. Most people who acquire it after their first appearance and they are then on daily suppressive medication (ie Valtrex) they rarely or not at all aware of outbreaks and of living a normal life healthy.

Valtrex does that herpes does not cure you, now there is no cure for herpes on the market. They work on a vaccine similar to that of genital warts, but it is only being tested on animals.

Because the virus is through the body and Valtrex is not a cure.
