Patients are naturally concerned about spending any amount of time partially or totally edentulous. An implant system that allows insertion of the implants same day delivery and connection overdenture implants is universally favored by patients. For this reason, the concept ANKYLOS SynCone DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental Specialties is an attractive option for many edentulous patients today.

The system uses 4 SynCone Ankylos prosthesis implants. Each implant is surmounted by a small accessory male. The female end is embedded in the prosthesis. When they slide the grip of friction is such that the prosthesis is firmly in place. The conical connection is 4 degrees and 6 degrees candles to control the forces of retention. It is also able to fully support the restoration because of a conical connection which attaches the abutment to the implant.

SynCone system can be used in immediate loading protocol provided that the following criteria are met:

Implants should be placed in parallel so 4 degrees or 6 degrees conical crown telescope emerge.

All 4 implants to reach the primary stability of <30n/cm

No angled abutments can be used in immediate loading protocol. They may however be used after osseointergration.

Clinically: Immediately after surgical placement.
