Abscess Tooth Pain

Abscess Tooth PainHow to get rid of the pain from an abscessed tooth?

I had a bad tooth for the last nine months and I had a toothache on and off since now I have an abscess, I have an appointment with an oral surgeon in March. But I need something to take the pain.

Antibiotics will not have time to work in 2 days - no point to relieve pain.

If you can, vicodin Dr. (usually 7.5/500 is what I got) - which helps some people.

Otherwise, drink half a glass of whiskey or rinse your mouth with mouthwash with alcohol safe. In particular, the mouthwash will hurt like crazy, but it works a little to numb the pain.

Clove oil worked some for me in the past, but it is beyond bad if you're on the language, the more it numbs your mouth and everything else is in bad taste.

I took pills and prescription pain without prescription since 2000 on a regular basis. I have this "cocktail" that I used to help my headaches:

1g (1000mg) of acetaminophen, ibuprofen 800 mg, pack of Pepsi / Mt. Dew once - I did not do it for dental pain, but I have made many. You can consult your doctor in advance if, as is a lot to flush through your system at once. However, pain can be terrible dental abscess ...

Even if you're not a drinker (which I'm not), the whiskey helps a lot for a throbbing tooth. Add it to the coke / pepsi to tolerate. I guess you're old enough to legally use the whiskey. Otherwise, I do not mean that you must break the law to find relief from pain, but if I'm in pain - I do what I must get to a manageable level.

Also, you may be able to get a script from the oral surgeon with only a phone call - you have probably already seen, but in most cases, they asked me if I need something for the pain.

I would go immediately to your doctor or even a visit to the clinic if necessary, and explain the situation. They usually give you an antibiotic to start working on the boil because it is very bad to have a current infection, uncontrolled, especially in your head. They can also provide pain medication cons keep you until you arrive at a surgeon. Until then, hold or swish water as hot as you can stand in your mouth around the tooth, apply heat on your face when the abscess. Hot towels and a hair dryer works well. If you need to travel, take a heat mat Thermacare laptop. The pads of the lower back worked well for me. Ibuprofen works well to keep the swelling and pressure to a minimum.

You and I are in the same boat. I had excruciating pain for 3 days makes me cry. The pain is gone but the swelling is still there. I went a little oil of cloves (you can find it at GNC or a health food store) and Advil. The doctor gave me Lortab which does not work at all. With clove oil, you will need to dilute with a carrier oil like olive oil. I applied full power because the combustion actually felt good after the pain I had experienced. All DAB clove oil on the area that hurts and after an initial sensation of burning pain is gone. I found that Advil is also ideal for toothaches.

Antibiotics do not work well to reduce pain from your abscess abscess is an infection and antibiotics fight infections.

Edit: Incidentally, the suggestion of the salt water is not true ... use logic to think. You are all teeming with fluid around his mouth, he does not go to the inside of your gums and down to the abscess (which is probably at the root of the tooth).

own, like me, is a dental student and she is absolutely right. an abscess under the tooth root and the line of the bone. salt water does absolutely nothing for her. I would suggest you call everyone you know and you ahold of some hydroco.
